Abstract

Michigan Reading and Math (STEM) Performance, MI-RAMP, is to uplift children--ages 4-12--both educationally and socially.  This age bias accentuates a purpose to invest early for the highest rate of return per Nobel Laureate Heckman.  It has implemented a free, inter-state, 3-person, distance-learing program with 12 weekend sessions.  Interactions are led by a teacher-tutor (TT) involving one student and a parent/guradian/adult.  2-way virtual exchanges are customized.  They address foundational needs in math, reading and critical thinking.  MI-RAMP has demonstrated vital learning via its individualized virtual modes, e.g., a 5-year-old learning to read after 8 weeks.

THe MI-RAMP model is replicable to reach countless children.
